MONTREAL, QUEBEC--Colt Energy Inc. (the "Corporation") announces
that, at this stage, it will not be proceeding with the grant of
stock options to acquire up to 1,530,000 common shares (the "Stock
Options") of the company at a price of $0.72 per share as
announced on March 30, 1998. The Stock Options were to be granted
to directors, officers, employees and/or consultants of the
Corporation.
