ALL, Summary of ads by desktop PC vendors in the weekly "ComputorEdge" publication for San Diego county. Percentages are weighted by the number of locations of each vendor. Ads advertising only one system are excluded. Trends: Availability of 750 and 800 MHz PIII's improved considerably in the last month, while the first Athlon 900 MHz system appeared this week($1,369). The percentage of locations where an AMD system was the fastest system sold dropped from 78% to 72%, still a good number. The average MHz margin at shops selling both Intel and AMD dropped from +84 MHz to +75 MHz (in favor of AMD).
