I totally agree with your comments about not using animals to go Iditaroding, rodeoing and greyhound racing. But I am curious how you make the moral distinction between which animals are hands off and which ones are for eating? Why would it be ethically wrong to use a cow in a rodeo and yet right to have a juicy free range steak, for example? I realize every person draws the line somewhere, and different cultures have different cultural understandings about what animals to eat and which ones are pets or should be protected.

Thank you for raising this interesting issue.
