NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 2000--WINSTAR COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (NASDAQ: WCII - news) today announced that its advanced, high-speed communications capabilities will be made available, on a non-exclusive basis, in the buildings owned by Pacific Gulf Properties Inc. (NYSE: PAG - news), a self-administered and self-managed equity real estate investment trust (REIT) which owns, operates, leases, acquires, rehabilitates and develops commercial properties in the Western United States.
Under the terms of the agreement, Winstar is permitted to offer its fixed wireless broadband communications services, including high-speed Internet and data, Web-based information and local and long distance services, to the 347 buildings comprising approximately 10.9 million square feet in Pacific Gulf's extensive portfolio. Pacific Gulf owns and operates buildings in such Winstar markets as Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland and Orange County, CA. Apex Site Management, Inc., a division of SpectraSite Holdings, Inc., represented Pacific Gulf in this agreement.
