Chung: This story is not about a misunderstood little startup. I partly sympathize with anyone who has a stake in Avant! and is so innocent that they cannot be skeptical of Avant!. You are a lamb and the wolves are coming. We've all been meat before. This story IS about people who quite probably violated laws of the United States of America. It is about accused company officers taking the fifth amendment when asked about these acts. It's about a startup business "strategy", if left without severe consequences, could grow like a cancer over the entire software industry. It's about the clever obfuscation that $M's can buy. It's about the power of large funds in a market increasingly less rational. What do you teach your children about stealing? What do you tell them about telling the truth, about fairness and about ethics? Let me ask you, should it be legal to take a firm's source code and build a product with it?
