Bill Stock and bond markets have a short day Friday and some commodity markets are closed. It usually is the lowest volume day of the year and generally does not provide much in the way of fireworks but with low volume it could get pushed either way. I don't know what to think about it. I am wondering why you have it as a strong down already? Do you find your formulation for the VIX useful for predicting several days ahead? Larry
