GOAL ENERGY INC. ANNOUNCES INTENTION OF TAPPIT RESOURCES LTD.
TO MAKE OFFER FOR OUTSTANDING SHARES

CALGARY, ALBERTA

GOAL Energy Inc. ("GOAL") advises that Tappit Resources Ltd. ("Tappit") has
announced its intention to make an offer to purchase all of the issued and
outstanding common shares of GOAL, including any common shares issuable upon
the exercise of outstanding options. The consideration Tappit has announced
that it intends to offer for each common share of GOAL consists of, at the
election of each of the shareholders of GOAL, either (i) $0.07 in cash and
0.75 of a common share of Tappit; or (ii) one common share of Tappit.

GOAL acknowledges that it has received a request from Tappit for a list of
its shareholders and that it is currently reviewing the sufficiency of the
request.

Although the Board of Directors of GOAL had received an unsolicited approach
from Tappit regarding the possibility of a strategic transaction, Tappit's
announcement of an intention to make a general offer is unsolicited.

In the event that an offer is made for the outstanding shares of GOAL, the
Board of Directors will review such offer and communicate further with
shareholders in due course.

The common shares of GOAL trade on the Alberta Stock Exchange under the
symbol "GGY."
