Chip, regarding gold... who are the biggest insiders when it comes to the gold markets? The South Africans - and a particular South African Stock index, the All-Gold Index, has been up sharply this week, while bullion has held steady. Do they know something we don't know? There was a lot of talk about how to regulate the currency markets at APEC. Maybe a basket of currencies plus gold backing each troubled currency was the answer. I'm no gold bug, but it may be prudent to position ourselves accordingly with a little bet on the yellow metal... if such news would get out, the price would skyrocket, so a significant investment is not needed to yield a handsome return. So many hedge funds are short gold that even the rumor of such a thing would cause a $25 spike - those South Africans most know something.........
