DMC Stratex Networks Awards $6 Million Follow-On Order to Signal Technology Growing number of contract wins for Signal Wireless Group's millimeter wave transceivers reflects strong demand from broadband wireless applications DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2000-- Signal Technology Corporation (NASDAQ: STCO - news) today announced that its Signal Wireless Group has won a $6 million production follow-on order from DMC Stratex Networks (NASDAQ: STXN - news) for wireless transceivers for its XP4 wireless access solutions. Signal Wireless Group will continue providing DMC Stratex Networks with high frequency millimeter-wave transceivers, which are currently in high-volume production.
Signal Technology's millimeter wave transceivers are incorporated into DMC Stratex Networks' XP4 family of wireless solutions. The XP4 series radio, which provides data rates up to DS3 (45 Mbps), delivers low-cost transport solutions for PCS/PCN microcell fixed-network infrastructure, last-mile connections for local telephony, cellular backhaul interconnections, and private networks.
