NC, re kristol as "Trotskyite (for about two years in college)" Hell, i was a trotskyite one night in college but she was a redhead and its a long story. But to characterize Kristol as a Trotskyite for a youthful indiscretion is McCarthyism. "Were you ever a member.....blah blah blah." It always amazes me the liberties with liberty the left will take. Smearing and sneering is not only done on the right.
