Things are identical in Canada with cops interested only in tickets and fines. They know how their bread gets buttered. People who think it is like the crime scene show CSI are badly let down. Crimes get solved here when a perp gets ratted out. High publicity cases usually see the police framing bad examples no one really cares about. Serial rapists, murderers and criminals find the environment here invigorating. Here last year a father was agonizing about his daughters' brutal rape couldn't take it anymore and drove to the house of the accused. His wife was worried about his safety and made the mistake of phoning the police who got to the house just as he was smashing the door in with an axe. With one well placed shot the father was dead at the house of the rapist. It never ends and the police 99% of the time can act with complete impunity.
