Interesting. I've wondered myself (without any industry knowledge except what I pick up on the boards) whether that was happening. The end game is not entirely clear. It doesn't seem like it can benefit either BA or LMT to drive LOR into the hands of a stronger company. Raytheon certainly wants LOR, at least its bus, so there could be some support there. Likewise, driving LOR into Chapter 11 only results in a financially stronger LOR. From BA's perspective, driving LOR into LMT's hands is no benefit.
They drive Bernie into selling FSS and they end up with a SSL that's got staying power - assuming a price that covers the debt.

I wonder if their strategy is simply directed to getting current orders. They both need the business desperately.
