In the 80's the yen was flying and was very well acepted by black marketeer's everywhere. If the Naz debalacle should teach us anything is that just because it is, doesnt mean it will. The dollar as an asset class is simply Over owned. Yes this is due to lack of competietion by other currencies. In 1950 Us industry had no real comp either and the dollar ruled the roost. Things change. Does the dollar fall out of bed tomorrow? I cant tell you. It will fall soon enough, especially if economic FA in Europe and ASIA improve realitive to the US. Which is ocuring as we speak.
