Indeed, my father worked for Boeing as an engineer for his entire career. He did many different things in that time on many different programs (Saturn rocket, moon lander, Minuteman missles, AWACS, etc.), but it was all for the same company.

I had more jobs than I can count until I settled into consulting a little over 20 years ago. Various warehouse jobs; driving jobs (pizza delivery, recycling recovery truck, local courier service, auto auction, etc.); office admin; conference coordinator; IT support; along with temp jobs that included aspects of the skills I learned in the full-time ones.

I've definitely learned a great deal and wouldn't trade all that experience for having the same job at the same company for all those years instead.
