All I've seen are extensions to help the state manage the obligations they will face as the crisis deepens.

But don't you think by bailing out the States we are allowing them to escape the decisions they have to make? Case in point; if California has such a lenient safety net for unwed mothers who are allowed to have 8 children - after she already has six - what right should California have to get my tax dollar? But more to my argument, what right does California have to charge future generations because they have allowed their welfare stuff to get out of control? .......And even more to the point; what I'm arguing is that California needs to make some choices - we all do if our country is to survive economically.
