That depends on who the Democrats nominate and how the economy is doing as we move closer to the election year. If the Dems nominate Biden or Tim Kaine, it will be a landslide of mammoth proportions similar to Mondale/Reagan in 1984. However, if a real progressive candidate runs and truly provides alternatives to Trump's policies to the electorate (ie; single payer universal healthcare, etc) and the economy is not doing well, the progressive Democrat has an excellent chance of winning.

The major problem is whether a progressive candidate is strong enough to overcome the DNC and a Party hack like Perez.
