YES! One other factor that I have not mentioned in recent posts is the attitude of the institutional investors (as opposed to more technology oriented individual investors). The institutional investors are predisposed to go with the bigger companies on the theory that bigger must be better, even if you don't understand all the technology issues, and even if the bigger guys can't explain why they're still behind on technology. Details, mere details!

But the main factor is that some of the biggest service providers, prodded by their GSM equipment manufacturers, think that they can still get by doing nothing until somehow the equipment providers come up with something that works and doesn't cost too much.
