Lance In Iraq March 08, 2005
(a critique of a Villiage Voice reporters fairy tales)
The voice of the village idiot
iraq.billhobbs.com

The bias against the military, southerners (self-loathing as Axe is from SC), and surprisingly, Iraqis themselves, is palpable throughout the entire piece. This is to be expected. The Village Voice is a paper written for people who knew Reagan was an idiot cowboy who could never defeat the Communists in the Cold War and they know Bush is an idiot cowboy who cannot defeat Islamic extremism. They were also certain Dean Kerry would be President, Afghanistan would be a disaster for the US military, etc. To sum up, devotees of liberalism do not have a lot to offer regarding politics and the military. But they are fun to ridicule.

TERESA'S BACK: ELECTION WAS HACKED!
Tue Mar 08 2005
Seattle PI

COUNTING THE VOTES: Heinz Kerry is openly skeptical about results from November's election, particularly in sections of the country where optical scanners were used to record votes.

"Two brothers own 80 percent of the machines used in the United States," Heinz Kerry said. She identified both as "hard-right" Republicans. She argued that it is "very easy to hack into the mother machines."

"We in the United States are not a banana republic," added Heinz Kerry. She argued that Democrats should insist on "accountability and transparency" in how votes are tabulated.

"I fear for '06," she said. "I don't trust it the way it is right now."

[and my favorite]
Theresa Heinz Kerry campaigned tirelessly -- "When I put out, I put out" -- but seemed to scorn the political wife's expected role of fixing her husband in adoring upward gaze
