Aoun isn't saying anything controversial. Everybody knows that Hizbullah has a lot of practice turning out its supporters for mass rallies. It doesn't matter if the supporters like Syria or agree with Hizbullah's decision, they would come. And of course the Syrians are well practiced in turning out pro-regime rallies too. So where's the surprise? As Omar of Iraq the Model notes

Another point is that bringing too many people by buses doesn't mean that you're right. Actually it reminds me of demonstrations in Iraq under the Ba'athist regime (Oops, I forgot that the Ba'athists still rule in Syria!)
