David, I think your long position will ultimately work out very well as will your longer term calls. With todays route I think we go a little lower, setting up an incredible buying opportunity. Some of the tech stocks ran a lot between November and now. They are now taking a breather, unfortunately dragging others down. I've seen this before, about 8 or 10 years ago. It occured in Jan or Feb and was over by late March or April - stocks were much higher during the summer. The mistake I made then was writing covered calls for income - on intel. It was about 23 (before several splits)and I lost it. This time I will be buying calls.
