I was guessing something along those lines. I'm still having mucho problems with Chrome this morning. I was good all day yesterday but last night's shutdown must have set me back to similar troubles. This morning Chrome gives me "Chrome not responding". I clicked on the "wait for program to respond" option and went for a cup of coffee. About 1/2 hour later I returned to find Chrome functional once again, apparently good as new.

I'm on the brink of returning to Firefox for my main browser. I'm in the process of finding out how to move or copy my Chrome bookmarks over for Firefox. I'd be open to alternative suggestions. Way too much time is lost on this stuff that should, and has been, automatic without extra effort.
