Kash, The fact that there are essentially private armies in the country is NOT good. I am not sure what you mean. The fact that any idiot even a 5 year old can get one is NOT good. How can a 5 year old acquire a gun? I think you have to be 18 to buy a gun, and in most states you have to be licesed. IMHO they should not allow any gun ownership. And should undertake an eefcetive plan to reduce current gun ownership by offering cash for guns. And putting people in JAIL who own them. Ok, so the plan is to keep letting murderers and violent criminals go free, but we will lock up law abiding citizens who acquired guns legally? The problem is that this country has a number of criminals that is a multiple of the present jail capacity (which is already high by civilized standards). I don't think there is a single country in the world that is as friendly to crime and criminals as the US. But it is easier to look for scapegoats - guns, drugs, poverty etc. Joe
