Cisco only purchased the fiber optic gear unit of Pirelli, not the whole company. However, I am not sure how many other units Pirelli has. It is a conglomerate, which now holds a ton of Cisco' stock. Guess they just saw their investment went up 10% in two days. Cisco will become the world's most valuable stock this year. Talking about the power of new economy. eom BL
