FYI-

Here is a URL for a company that does a 'friendly' attack on your computer to check it's internet security level. They 'probe' and 'attack' your computer via the internet using the same techniques that a 'hacker' would use to gain access to your computer. I read about them in this week's PC Magazine. They appear to be honest and above board.

Separately, I purchased and am running a security product called BlackIce. networkice.com It will detect any hacker 'probes' or 'attacks', build a log of them, and attempt to trace the attacker back to their home isp. BlackIce detected the 'probing and testing' from the guys above, so they actually were testing my computer to see if it was vulnerable to attack by hackers.
