Toby - Thanks for the review of Kopin's prospects. It is very difficult to assess the viability of Kopin's product compared to the reflective devices you talked about. Perhaps in the headmounted displays they will have some advantage - but Vinnies seemed to get vertigo using them! I haven't tried one myself - but I am wondering whether the vertigo would be less of a problem with the new higher resolution version that they are offering - only $3500 MSRP. It would seem that this could have a potential market in the Video arcade business and there is some company called Slam.site that is putting up a bunch of facilities to exploit this high resolution head mounted display in games. I'm afraid though that this price point may be a little high for the Christmas season and even the $895 version may not get much traffic there.
Still it seems that with this new technology, either the slide projector, the head mounted display, or the projection monitor would have some potential. How big of a problem is the slightly yellowish blues that come from the smartslide for the monitor deployment? Is that what is holding it back. Thanks, Tom
