It's never been as bad as it is now. Just in my lifetime, Eisenhower, Nixon (obviously flawed) and Bush 1 believed in a strong government role in things. Even Reagan was MUCH better than these guys, though that is really hard to get past my lips. No the new crop is totally destructive. Scorched earth... The 'old' USA as we knew it: toast. And the worst part is they're good at it, they're winning.
