One more thing, Mat. You're right that '87 isn't to be feared like the others.

But the public does get scared out by those things, at the bottom. And professionals do also, I've watched it happen.

Then they sell during every up move, trying to get out a little closer to even.

The '87 shakeout wasn't really cleansed until the Desert Storm bull market started in Jan.'91, at just slightly above the opening day level of Black Monday in 1987.
