It blows my mind that the US isn't taxing fuel strongly in order to accomplish a couple of things.

1) Consumption responsibility
2) Energy exploration/replacement/innovation
3) Lower Unfriendly Global Vulnerability

Someone is NOT doing their homework IMO. By not addressing the energy problem with a responsible program, it is assured
that military becomes the only option down the road. I am afraid that road is quite short.
