What happened yesterday was a horrible act of war against this nation and a terrible tragedy the full magnitude of which will not be known for days. What it brings to us is a test of our will to defend our people and way of life. Our response will determine our future for decades to come. Those who have fought and died for this country to bring us to these recent decades of prosperity did not lack the will to defend freedom. Do we now have the will to take the hard steps necessary to really take care of terrorism? Or have we grown so soft and complacent that our response will be "measured" and watered down? Will we hold responsible all countries that consider the United States an enemy and that harbor and aid terrorists? Will we take whatever measures against these enemies to eliminate the threat? I for one certainly hope so. Anything short of this will guarantee a prolonged terrorist siege against us which will ultimately bring us down.
