nov8eve1 -

good to see you back - I haven't talked to Tony lately - he's down in Puerto Rico last I heard enjoying the good life. Zekel made a ton of cash off of DCH; and the wolf is in hiding.

Braintech has about 57 million shares outstanding (that may increase as Owen and Grant have been adding to the kitty with expected issuance of future shares...) A lot has transpired with the company since Owen came back full time - in a nutshell, they have been focusing on 1 niche market (supplying vision-guided robotic systems to Tier I automotive suppliers through partners - ABB in N. America; hopefully Marubeni very soon in Japan and Asia) Their product, eVF or eVision Factory is composed of sophisticated vision software that controls robots to adjust their movements to changes in the position of the parts they are acquiring. They have a unique single-camera 3D solution that ties to this software which is extremely fast, self-calibrating and cost efficient because it utilizes a single off-the-shelf camera. They are currently seeking patent protection for their 3D feature.

3 reasons I am still around:

1.0 Owen is now in this full time and has built an impressive technical and sales team; even though people on the boards feel he was a big reason for Sideware not succeeding, I see Braintech being 1000% ahead of where they were before he returned full-time. The fact that Owen still continues to put his own money into the company tells me that he still believes it is a viable effort.

2.0 The product is viable and is proven. They have several installations of earlier versions of eVF out in factories today; their relationship with ABB is very solid, landing them this initial deal with one of the Big 3 automotive manufacturers that they are currently working on.

3.0 Because of the above, even if the company doesn't succeed long-term, there are some near-term opportunities to play this stock. A few successes here or there with Big 3 companies will definitely stir interest in the company, and that will translate into stock price movement.
