Speaking as an uninvolved spectator, I think you're all overlooking the obvious. The clues are in Dixie's post:

It is a fictitious entity, with a really nice web site... a web site that costs too much in time and talent not to have a method to generate revenue.

I believe that they earn serious amounts of money based upon the success of the attendant brokerage firm, and the particular stock shorting campaign. Look at their net site, it cost a fair amount and didn't come from pocket change.

Now, who was it that created the web site? I think HE may be the one with all the dough!

Just my opinion. I could be wrong.
