Patsy,

"Who's selling Apple now?" would be more interesting topic than the
other way around. Apple's price has been hitting at the historical low.
There are three types of people who would sell Apple at current point:

- The persons who manages mutual funds or handles other people's
money. They can afford to lose compared to individuals.

- The persons who take a loss. It is unlikely because it is at
the beginning of the year. They don't need to make such a decision
for tax purpose.

- The individuals who sell short. They bet on Apple would continue
to slide. They'd better hold their breath since Apple is so low
that could triggle a takeover bid from interesting groups any time
or a major event that causes Apple to rally. From Apple's
historical stock price data, its quarter's range is about 10-15
dollars. So, its range could be from 15-16 of low to 25-26 of high
in January to April, 97. Therefore, which side (sell or buy) has
higher probability to win is pretty clear.
