<<The two separatist zones seized de facto independence by force of arms in the early 1990s. Last week the Georgian army stormed South Ossetia to try to take it back, but were quickly repelled by Russian forces that then advanced far into undisputed Georgian territory.

Reports from Sukhumi, capital of the other disputed region, Abkhazia, said residents were celebrating after Russian-backed separatists this week took Kodori Gorge, part of which was the only sliver of Abkhazia controlled by Georgia.>>

i ask myself if questioners asked americans, in a polling operation, what the words revealed about what's going on in Georgia, i would wager 80% would say "i don't have a clue, it's gibberish to mean."
i would wager 50% of all talking head journalist would say, "it is about those god damn commies trying to destroy a free and democratic country."
If the questioner were to ask a Fox News journalists "Communism collapsed in 1990, did it not?" Like 70% would report to the questioner to the NSA/Home Security and the questioner would quickly be added to the well over one million U.S. citizens on the list of supected terrorists/subversives list.
Yeh. Well, you get my point.Max
