I caught the 1st hour Truman. He spoke exclusively of the capital gains tax proposal in his monologue. To summarize it briefly, he spoke of how the minority party is presently running the white house and the majority party is "rolling over like lap-dogs". He cited the huge victory for President Clinton on Welfare, getting people back on welfare that were taken off during the welfare reform package. Nothing on the capital gains tax cut. He said: "in Clinton's latest assault on our intelligence, He is proposing to cut the capital gains tax from 28% to 27.7%." "This is another way of saying He's (clinton) against a capital gains cut". After that, he fielded calls, mostly from people saying I own X mutual fund and am thinking of switching..what do you think Bob? Of course Bob would pull out his Morningstar listings and say "get into the total market" No real market views in Bob's first hour yesterday. The second hour (which I guess you heard) was better. Take it easy.
