Examples: - 58 innocent people were killed in an incident that ignited the riots that the article mentions. - Over 100,000 Hindu kashmiris were forced to leave Kashmir by Islamic militants - 15 people were killed in a bomb blast in Mumbai subarban train in early 2003( This is equivalent to 15 people being killed in a bomb blast on the E-train in Manhattan) This was the third such recent incident in Mumbai - in 1993, the bombing of Mumbai stock market killed dozens of innocents. Car bombs in the streets killed others. - Gunmen opened fire in a Hindu temple in Gujarat killing dozens of innocents etc.
