One brave judge can tip the balance.

We're talking past each other, methinks. The law and its implementing procedures, regardless of whether state or federal, are a product of the will of the majority. What are you looking to your brave judge to do about that?

I'm not keen on the will of the majority, either. The majority can be a bunch of jerks. That's why I support courts finding unconstitutional violation of rights in laws. Is that what you're looking for here? Are you looking for some judge to find the Florida law unconstitutional? Or are you looking for some judge to arbitrarily ignore the law so that this particular woman can/is forced to live. It sounds like the latter, which would suggest that you support jury nullification, as well.

I can't figure out what it is that you want vis a vis the majority. What has the majority done in this case to exercise you and just what would you have your brave judge do to correct it?

[I used "can/is forced to" to illustrate the difference in perspective on this. Some are focused the right to live and others on the right to die.]
