I think the problem with major OEMs and the Duron right now is either building and qualifying motherboards and/or the availability of stock motherboards... There likely aren't even enough for the thunderbirds and I'd say they take priority because of bigger system margins. OTOH, There are plenty of BX motherboards for the Celeron IIs...so Intel can sell a bunch at 1/3 the price of the coppermines... I see the introduction of Celeron IIs at 700 as an attempt to hold market share...even at the expense of margin... They held off as long as they coud to see what Duron was going to be introduced at and matched it... This has been Intels strategy... Jim
