I think we all sat around for a year or more waiting for the next attack. Wondering what and where and how it might change our lives. Big pieces of the financial apparatus were totally disrupted. I am too far away physically to have a good damage assessment. I know people I had worked with are gone along with their career work product. I think we are just at the stage, still not widely talked about, where we are beginning to conclude that al quaida may have been greatly hurt in the aftermath and that their lack of activity in the US reflects an inability to act, at least in the dramatic fashion they prefer.
