Herb, I can only guess why you didn't post this on the IOM thread. :)

Here's my reply (I love how SI forces me to think:

1. Increase in ISSUED shares dilutes equity for longs and shorts alike. So it could help those already short by driving stock price down. This is for NEW shares, not a split.

2. Poorly managed companies are frequently taken over to be dismantled. (I'm not saying IOM is poorly managed. Have read the report and am impressed. K.E. sounds like a very focused guy.)

3. I agree. I trust K.E. and the board (sounds like a good name for a
rock group). If I didn't I would not hold the stock.

For K.E. to continue his good job he must be free to act swiftly if the need arises. He needs the line of credit (I have one with home equity as security. Don't have to worry how to finance a car, medical
bills etc SHOULD we need to.). Same reasoning for the stock authorization.
