Hi Claude, (RANGY info)

Sorry for the bad link. It seems that the site somehow prevents a simple cut and paste of its links.

edata.co.za

I guess you'll have to navigate thru the maze to get there :( or just and paste the one below back together.

Regarding your question about Syama, they expect production to increase to 270,000 OZ by Nov-Dec of this year with a cash cost drop down to $210. This upgrade (called Syama II) was originally scheduled for Mar 99, and they seem to be ahead of schedule. They have had some problems getting everything up and running (generators for example) but they seem confident they'll eventually reach this goal. I agree with your cash concerns, but they also have the Syama heap leach next year starting production at $130 an OZ with 50,000 ounces produced annually. The capital expense for this is only $11 million, so this will be quite a windfall for them. Please post any further questions you might have on the South African Mining Thread as this is where everyone is discussing RANGY, and hopefully our discussions will answer other people's questions as well. I could also email you the above stuff if you can't get it to work. Thanks :)
