UQM Technologies Inc. (NYSE MKT: UQM) congratulates Zenith Motors, LLC on receiving an EPA Certificate of Conformity for its all-electric commercial van, powered by UQM PowerPhase Pro(R) 135 electric motors and controllers. Zenith Motors recently announced that its battery electric vans were the first to receive this certificate for that class of vehicle.

A Certificate of Conformity is issued by the EPA to a vehicle manufacturer, certifying that a vehicle class conforms to EPA requirements. This certificate now allows Zenith to begin selling its all-electric van to customers in the U.S.

"We are proud to have been chosen by Zenith Motors for their electric vehicle program, and offer our congratulations to the company on achieving this significant step in commercialization," said Eric R. Ridenour, President and Chief Executive Officer of UQM Technologies, Inc. "We look forward to growing with them as they ramp up their production to meet customer demand."

The UQM PowerPhase Pro 135 is part of the PowerPhase Pro family of vehicle electrification products and provides a peak torque of 340 Nm, peak power of 135 kW and 60 kW of continuous power. UQM also offers the production-ready PowerPhase HD(R) 220, high-torque PowerPhase HD 950T and higher voltage PowerPhase HD 250 systems for heavier commercial vehicle applications. The high efficiency of UQM PowerPhase systems aid vehicle manufacturers in meeting their all-electric range goals for higher value to the customer.
