Kopin Yellowing No, the yellowing from the Si absorption is not a major problem. It slightly limits the color gamut of the displays, but is not really noticeable unless you are looking for it. Reflective LCD for HMD presents a difficult optics problem. Transmissive is much more straight forward. With LED lamps replacing kiloVolt plasma lamps, a low voltage, compact Kopin HMD solution should be available soon. They need to fix the package and human factors (like everyone else), before this goes high volume. They could also use an alliance with a volume retail distributor or gamemaker.
