Robert,Your question is a poignant one, and although not directed to me, I would like to comment. I hope you don't mind.
God neither flips a coin nor does He have an "unusual" sense of humor. He hears the prayers of all. And all prayers are answered according to the will of God. Your question really becomes: "Why do people die?" Or in the alternative,"Why is there any suffering in the world?" A non-believers response is to "blame" it on God (interesting position)God becomes real to some for the convenience of blame. On the other hand, a believer in the almighty God knows that no suffering in this world ever comes from God.
Any and all suffering is made manifest by the hands of man. Each and every one of us make choices that are in many ways the cause of our own demise, as individuals and more importantly, as a global community.
On an individual level make it real personal, consider yourself and the lifestyle you choose, and your immediate family and close friends.Consider all we do on a daily basis that puts us at great risk. The foods we eat, the beverages we drink, not to mention the poison some smoke or the drugs (legal and illegal)some put in their bodies. The bad driving habits of some, the workaholic, the fun and entertainment demons, the fun in the sun worshippers, the places we go, the things we do, the friends we choose, and the list goes on, I am sure that you get the picture.
All of the choices that we make on a daily basis can and do add to or detract from our quality of living.Quite simply, LIFE itself.
AS to the global level, well I will have to continue this writing later as I have a pressing matter to attend to at this time.
In the mean time ponder this: Ps.14
Go in peace my friend, I will return to continue, have a blessed day. |
