Rod, Dr. Cowpland should be pleased with last quarter's result. Reason: 1) WP8 was launched on time and received excellent reviews.
2) Already making money on Java (by trading research materials
with Korean software company)
3) The spinning off Corel Computer Co. is going fully ahead.
4) The financing situation is getting better (more cash in
hand).
5) The initial sales of WP8 increased 30% compare with WP7.
The only thing you can complain is the pace on grabbing corporate marketshares from Microsoft is too slow and WP8 seems not very profitabe because of lower the price to gain marketshares.
I think Corel is heading at the right direction but can it be succeeded, time will tell.
