Of course, those baseless attacks against Obama were damaging to the US. I find the behavior of the Democrats and liberals against Trump today to be very reminiscent of the attacks against Obama by the Republicans and conservatives 8 years ago. I find it to be puerile, wrong-headed, and dysfunctional. It's why our country has ceased to function properly. We have children in charge of this country and we have a sheepish population lost in the penchant for ideological thinking. We need adults in charge, who most often engage in common sense, non-ideological thinking, and who revile partisanship in favor of doing what is right and good for the American people. Unfortunately, there are precious few of those getting elected today. They simply don't fit the mold of what Americans want at this time, which is why I see us in an accelerating decline culturally, economically, and otherwise.
