the suggestion he was the Eagle quarterback because he was black. Actually, the suggestion was that the media was over-hyping him because he was black. Even if this is in no way true, even if it was downright silly (I have no idea), to infer racism from this remark you have to infer that Rush really said it out of resentment at seeing a black man praised. A bit of a stretch. I'm not a Rush fan, but he clearly was swiping at media PC, not black quaterbacks.
