Haim, Bill: I haven't seen any mention on this thread or what I think of as the "sister thread" (Mohan) about the article in Barron's last issue re: the options market and its possible effects on any significant stock market decline. I would highly recommend this article (page 24) to all who are interested in options. It is an interview with Andrew Smithers of London. Perhaps you all have seen it and were not as impressed with it as I was. I learned a lot about the "big picture" of the options market. It is making me think twice about being short options as part of my spreads. I have been assigned a couple of times, but I really don't want that to happen after the close on a Friday with the market in freefall. Again, I highly recommend this article, but I'm not sure if you can get it on line. Perhaps someone can give us a link. Jack
