You’re post validates mine.

And your taxes aren’t going where you think. There’s more than a few retired Firefighters, all good men, retired in their late 40’s enjoying $100K Plus retirement pensions living on the island. A few have retired teachers as wives taking in the same while working and enjoy life in paradise... on your dime.

Taxes won’t be going down but the smart money is leaving Ca. Just as there will be more fires and flooding which the state legislators won’t be planning any preventive actions for.
