The thing that turned me against Michael Schiavo years ago wasn't the fact that he wants to pull the plug on Terri. It's that he hasn't allowed her to have therapy, or even be taken out in a wheelchair for a walk in the park and feel the sun on her face and the wind in her hair.

Her wheelchair is broken, and he refuses to allow it to be fixed.

He refuses to allow her to even leave her room.

He refuses to allow caretakers to even brush her teeth! No visitors, no flowers, no family photos, no music.

To me, that's just pure evil.

A wheelchair costs less than $200, a motorized wheelchair less than $1000. Heck, I'd gladly buy her a wheelchair, and I bet there are thousands of people who would do the same.
