I have been using redistributionist to refer to a person, idea, or policy that takes from some and gives to others, with no direction required (a theoretical social program that combined taxes on the working poor and cash payments to the idle rich from the proceeds of the tax would be redistributionist by my definition). I don't see how either of our definitions, could fit with calling tax cuts redistributionist. Also I can't think of any reasonable definition that does fit with that idea. Tim
